Actually, their location in South Eastham will give you good access to Coast Guard Beach, (5 min), Nauset Lighthouse Beach, (7 minutes) and Marconi Beach (15 minutes). Topmast consists of several buildings, most of them beach front. They have a small indoor pool, sauna etc.
It is little further up the street closer to Ptown. You could also look at the Topmast Resort in North Truro. I cannot comment on any of the other places you are considering as I am not familiar with any of them. If you have specific questions, please PM me. The grounds and the swimming pool are well maintained, parking is plenty. Should you need the Ptown shuttle, you can flag it down right in front.Įach and everyone of the condos is individually furnished to the owners taste and needs (some even have bunk beds in addition to a regular bed for the kids) It is not fancy, luxurious or stylish, but functional and clean and well located. All have a patio (downstairs) or a balcony upstairs. Most units are 400 sqft, the corners are 500 sqft. Hares, rabbits, foxes are sometime morning visitors in the back. All units overlook a huge back lawn bordered by woods. The second floor units may allow you a glimpse at the water. Just some details: The corner units are somewhat larger than the interior units. I have staid there on and off for 5 times for month-long vacations and was very satisfied with my rental. Many of the owners live in MA, CT, RI and NH and use their units for a large part of the summer. That may be one of the reasons that you do not find too many reviews. I'd like to get somewhere booked as it's August and all, but I can't do nonrefundable since neither of us officially have our work schedules yet, although I shouldn't have a problem with time off, daughter hasn't been at her job long enough to know the chances.ītgm: The Braemar is not a motel, but a condominium. (That seems very brave or foolhardy to me now, looking back as the mother of a 20 y/o woman.) It's all based on remembering when I was a kid though, and by the time I could drive I think I mostly went off season at night and there was no one in the parking lots but me and I have no idea which beach(es) I went to. Truro beach parking seems confusing, and it seems like the best beaches were in the middle of the National Seashore. I can't really remember where we used to stay when I was a kid, but I think it was farther into the National Seashore than that. I'm just not sure about Eastham.Įagle Wing gets the best reviews, but I feel like that might be not far enough out for us. I'd choose Even'tide or Eagle Wing based on reviews though. This has a few dirty reviews but not very many.

(I'm suspicious the 50% is the right cancellation fee though.)ģ. They also sell beach parking passes, which might also be a plus. (I emailed them to ask.) Apparently you can hike to Marconi beach from here, which might be a plus. Even'tide Motel in Wellfleet $181 for a king room, not sure of cancellation, one place said 50% and one place said $15.

(A plus for me since I don't ride a bike ever.)Ģ. I think it's about a mile (and across Rt 6) to the Rail Trail, which I've never been on but think is flat. They loan bikes and beach chairs and beach towels, which is a plus. Eagle Wing Inn in Eastham $242 for king deck room, $35 cancellation fee. Originally I was thinking that we'd stay in one of the motels along Rt 6, but it seems like they all either have quite a few reviews saying they're dirty or have a 50% cancellation policy. Town parking seems about the same - $20/day in Eastham and $55 for 3 days in Wellfleet. Even the town operated ones? Or is there a list somewhere of where we can park? We have a National Parks Pass, which I think we can use to park at all the Nat'l Seashore Beaches. I thought about Provincetown, but it's too expensive. (That's what I want to do anyway - not sure daughter has an opinion.) I'm trying to find somewhere under $300/night with a reasonable cancellation policy that's clean. It will be me and 20 y/o daughter, and I think we're going to mainly want to go to the National Seashore beaches. I'm looking mostly at Eastham and Wellfleet, maybe Truro.
